BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The area’s first African American woman-owned cannabis dispensary House of Za is now open in Buffalo’s University District.

Located on Main Street near the University at Buffalo’s south campus, the store is dedicated to education, responsible use, and supporting the area’s growing legal cannabis market, according to owner Gen Brown.

“If they have any questions on cannabis education or the actual legal plant and what we’re presenting to the community, we want them to really understand that’s not what’s being sold on the streets,” Brown said.

House of Za is the second dispensary to open in the University District.
